How locals do it
One of the oldest benbang kitchens in the city. Come for 响油鳝糊 (sizzling eel with hot oil) and 草头圈子 (pork intestine with alfalfa). It is an old- fashioned dining room, and the staff appreciate knowing what you want.
Don't get this wrong
It closes between lunch and dinner (14:00-17:00), so an afternoon drop-in finds locked doors. Some benbang dishes are an acquired taste — the eel and intestine are the point, not a mistake.
